What is lead follow-up tracking?
Lead follow-up tracking means keeping a record of every time you contact a possible customer after their first enquiry, and what came of it. Instead of trusting memory, you write down the call, visit or message and its result. Over time that log shows who is warm, who has gone quiet and who has not heard from you in a while.
In CIPHER CRM every lead has a Follow-ups tab. Each time someone on your team reaches out, whether by phone, in person or in writing, they log it there with an outcome. The follow-up statuses are yours to set in lead settings, so the outcomes use your team's own words, such as interested, call back later or no answer. The latest entry shows on the lead as Last contacted, which tells anyone at a glance how long it has been since a real conversation. Because the log sits inside the lead, it lives next to the lead's tasks, reminders, checklist and activity log, so the whole history of the relationship is in one place. When a salesperson is away or leaves, the next person opens the lead and picks up where they stopped, instead of starting from zero with a buyer who already explained everything once.
